Meet Our Dentists

Dr. Laura DeLuca

Dr. Laura graduated with honours from the University of Western Ontario’s Faculty of Dentistry in 2010, where she was presented with the Award in Oral Pathology upon graduation. Prior to starting her dental studies, Dr. Laura completed two bachelor’s degrees (science and nursing) at the University of Toronto and worked for a year as a registered nurse on a transplant unit in Toronto.

She places strong emphasis on the reciprocal relationship between oral health and overall health, and she strives to empower all of her patients to make informed decisions about their dental health. Dr. Laura is gentle and caring, and she endeavours to make all her patients’ experiences as comfortable as possible. She is committed to providing excellent dentistry using the most advanced materials and techniques to ensure that you receive the most optimal dental care possible.

Brittany has been working as a Registered Dental Hygienist at Lotus since April 2018. Brittany first graduated from the Level II dental assisting program at Canadore College in 2009. Upon completing that program, Brittany decided to continue her dental education and graduated from Niagara College in 2011 with a diploma in Dental Hygiene. Brittany always knew she wanted to work in healthcare and chose a career in dental hygiene because she loves to help her patients live a healthy lifestyle. Outside of the office, Brittany maintains an active lifestyle activities and enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Kelsey has been working as a Registered Dental Hygienist at Lotus Family Dental since July 2020. She graduated from Durham College in 2014 with an advanced diploma in Dental Hygiene with honours and distinction. Kelsey knew from a very young age she wanted to be a hygienist. Her mom worked in dentistry, so it inspired Kelsey to seek a career in the same field. Kelsey loves dentistry because every day is different with new challenges and learning experiences that always keep it interesting, fulfilling & fun!

Graduating from Durham College, Amanda is a licensed Registered Dental Hygienist with over 10 years of experience in the dental field. Amanda started working at Lotus in 2024 and has a passion for preventive oral care and patient education. Amanda brings both clinical expertise and a gentle chair-side manner to every appointment. Nelsha has been a dental assistant since 2003 and joined the Lotus team in 2024. She is passionate about helping people feel confident in their smiles. After dedicating time to raising her children, she has returned to the profession she has always loved. For Nelsha, coming back to the dental world has felt like coming home. She is deeply committed to ensuring every patient feels comfortable and well cared for, whether she is assisting during a procedure or simply offering a reassuring smile. She genuinely loves her job and takes pride in her work. Outside of the office, Nelsha enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, staying active, and making space for peaceful moments of relaxation. Andrea joined the Lotus administrative team in 2025 and is a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Administrator with over 10 years of experience. Outside of work, Andrea enjoys spending time with her family, kayaking, and travelling.

As Office Manager, Kim is passionate about patient care, team collaboration, and creating a welcoming environment where both staff and patients feel supported. Kim’s extensive background in administration and bookkeeping enables her to streamline office workflows, manage scheduling and billing, and ensure a seamless patient experience, from the initial point of contact at the front desk to post-care follow-ups. Katelyn loves what she does because working and interacting with people is one of her passions.</p><p>In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends and adventuring with her two German shepherd puppies, Ranger and Archy.</p>

Extremely happy with recent dental work (crown replacement and dental extraction/surgery) over the past few months and... have found staff extremely efficient and friendly especially with the Covid-19 challenges. Dr. Muirhead has been my wife and my dentist for the past 6 years and we have found him highly skilled in his profession, very kind, and very knowledgeable in recommending best options for long term teeth management.
